DIY Outdoor Chair Cushions
* I received fabric from Premier Prints in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed in this point are my own. This summer I have been on a mission -- on a mission to beautify my home's patio! In recent weeks, I've painted a DIY beverage cart, spray painted some Adirondack chairs and added a lovely yellow hue to a hand-me-down coffee table for my home's paver patio. But I didn't stop there -- I made some budget DIY outdoor cushions for my patio's wrought iron dining set! I have been wanting outdoor cushions for my patio's dining set for a while now. I've never wanted to pay a lot Continue reading...
How to Prepare for Bunion Surgery
*This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Two weeks ago I had bunion surgery. It's a surgery I knew I would need and have been dreading for years! I've had a bunion since I was about 10 years old, and this spring, my bunion had gotten to the point where it was causing me nightly pain. Plus, my big toe was starting to cross over my second toe. So, I scheduled my bunion surgery for earlier this month. I would not suggest bunion surgery just for cosmetic reasons. I will have to keep off my foot for at least 4-6 weeks. I've only left my house once so far in the past two weeks! Luckily, for Continue reading...

*This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Today is the next installment of the Make It Happen Blog Hop! Each month, a group of bloggers tackle a new shared challenge while growing friendships and getting to know other bloggers. Last month's Make It Happen Blog Hop challenge was cooking, where I shared my snickerdoodles recipe! This month we will all review a favorite book we've read. Since I just adore reading books by other bloggers, and books about home decor, I am reviewing Natural Accents by Stacy Risenmay of Not Just a Housewife. Stacy's Not Just a Housewife is one of the Continue reading...

DIY Plant Stand from a Bar Stool
Hi, everyone! HAPPY FRIDAY!! Today I am guest blogging at the SITSGirls blog, where I am sharing how to make a quick and easy plant stand from a simple bar stool. My daughters love taking care of plants, so they have a few of their own houseplants in their room. They both needed a plant stand so their plants could be placed in front of their bedroom windows and get some much needed sunlight! This project was so simple -- I simply decorated the top of each bar stool with some scrapbook paper and a little Mod Podge. I wrapped some twine around the rungs at the bottom of each bar stool to Continue reading...

Handi-Treads Review
Full Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I received item(s) that were either gifted to me in exchange for this post and/or I was compensated for my participation. All opinions are 100% mine. I never used to worry about falling at my home until I slipped on my icy driveway in 2014 and broke my wrist! A metal plate was put in my wrist to repair the damage. Winter 2015 was a LONG cold winter, so I was worried about falling again! When Handi-Treads gave me the chance to try out their non-slip stair treads, I said yes! Handi-Treads, which come in a variety of colors, have a raised-button Continue reading...

DIY Drop Cloth Placemats
** I am a DecoArt blogger. I received free product in exchange for my review. All opinions expressed in this post are my own. This post contains Amazon affiliate links. I love to entertain outside during the summertime, but didn't really have anything pretty placemats for my patio's beautiful wrought iron table. So I decided to make my own drop cloth placemats! You might wonder why I used a drop cloth to make my placemats. I used a drop cloth because drop cloths are super cheap (you can get one for less than $12), durable and look a lot like linen! I only needed 1 drop cloth to make my 4 Continue reading...
