DIY Stenciled Pillows — and GIVEAWAY!
* I received free product to help facilitate this review. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own. If you're a reader of this blog, you must know that I love pillows! I've made DIY placemat pillows and pillows out of cloth napkins for my home's living room. So I was excited to try out the Paint a Pillow kits from Paint-A-Pillow. I have never stenciled a pillow before and thought it would be fun! I picked out the Mermaid Paint-a-Pillow kit -- I love the pattern! The kit came with everything I needed to stencil a pillow: a stenciling frame, a reusable pillow Continue reading...

** Thanks to Hope Lake Lodge for providing my family and I accommodations at their beautiful resort in the incredibly gorgeous Finger Lakes area in New York State! Yesterday I posted about my family's fantastic vacation at Hope Lake Lodge in New York State's beautiful Finger Lakes region. The first day of our vacation, we enjoyed the incredibly fun Cascades Indoor Waterpark at Hope Lake Lodge. Since the lodge is close to Ithaca, New York, my family and I decided to travel to Robert H. Treman State Park in Ithaca, about 30 minutes southwest of our resort. The park is known for its beautiful Continue reading...

Fun Activities for Summer #craftfrenzyfriday
#craftfrenzyfriday Hi, everyone! My kids and I have really been enjoying our summer vacation so far! How has your summer been! To kick summer into high gear, I'd thought I'd share some of my favorites from last Friday's Craft Frenzy Friday Party! My kids and I love ice cream, so I adore the recipe for homemade ice cream in a can by Home Cooking Memories! This recipe doesn't look very difficult to follow, and what's wonderful is that you don't need an ice cream maker to make homemade ice cream! Later this summer, I will be having bunion surgery and will be off my feet for several Continue reading...
Fluffy Snickerdoodle Recipe
#makeithappenbloghop My daughters and I just adore homemade snickerdoodles! They are light and fluffy and have a light dusting of cinnamon and sugar -- just delicious! We never used to make them before, but now that my daughters are tweens, they can make the snickerdoodles themselves! I just assemble the ingredients and do some minor supervising. I also put the cookie pans into the oven, but that's because I am an overprotective mom! My 12-year-old daughters are quite capable and could probably make the cookies themselves without my help! (Or maybe I should get them some extra long oven Continue reading...
