Today I'm off enjoying the weekend with my family, so I thought I'd share one of Mom Home Guide's oldies but goodies! A big problem most moms face is how to organize toys for my kids. It seems that these days, kids have way more toys than kids did when I was young. Or, maybe, my parents did a better job of organizing my and my sister’s toys when we were kids than I do organizing my kids’ toys. I just find it hard to organize toys! My daughters’ room doesn’t get cleaned as often as it should because it takes me over an hour just to clear all their toys off the floor and their beds before I Continue reading...

The kids love when we decorate our home for the holidays, and I like changing the decor in our home! Luckily, I can find Valentines Day craft ideas right here on Mom Home Guide, in the Spring Craft Blog Hop, which is still in session! (There is still time to link up your spring or Valentines Day craft!) One Valentines Day craft I especially adore from the Spring Craft Blog Hop is Kim's DIY Globe Valentine from Made in a Day. So, before the storm arrives, I thought I'd take the time to share my favorites from the A Little Bit of Everything linky party, which I co-launched with some of my blogging friends last Wednesday. First up, I love the rainbow-striped wall that Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom painted for her daughter's room. She used a laser level to get the even stripes. BTW, did you know that a laser level actually sticks to the wall? I didn't know that! Continue reading...

Broccoli and Cheddar Crock Pot Soup
When my daughter was home sick recently, I treated her to broccoli cheese soup at Panera Bread. Broccoli cheese soup is her favorite thing to order there! So this week, I decided to surprise her with a special treat and cook some homemade broccoli cheese soup for dinner one night! I decided to make a crock pot broccoli cheese soup recipe so it would be super easy to make, too, so I could make it on a week night! I put my broccoli cheese soup recipe together by browsing the Internet, doing some Google searches and using Pinterest. I wanted to make a soup that was yummy but wasn't filled with Continue reading...

Happy Friday, everyone! In honor of the end of the work and school week, I thought I'd share with you some of my Follow Friday (#FF) faves! They are so pretty, and they don't look that difficult to make! Her rings might make nice gifts for my daughters for Valentine's Day! I met Erlene through the Spring Craft Blog Hop that we co-hosted this week together! My next fave is the lace dress for winter by Carrie of Crafty Curly Mom. I Continue reading...

It's also where we keep a soft and fuzzy throw for when we read or watch the birds outside! I got our "Kennedy" sofa from La-Z-Boy last spring, and we just love Continue reading...
