Tesalate Beach Towel Review & Giveaway

written by Lauren

Tesalate beach towel

Thanks to Tesalate for sponsoring this post. The summer beach season is officially over here in New Jersey, but for me, it's just beginning! That's because after Labor Day, my favorite New Jersey beach towns lift their dog restrictions, and I can bring my pup on the beach and the boardwalk! So I was excited when I was given the opportunity to review a Tesalate beach towel—it will come in handy for our beach excursions! My towel also works great for weekend picnics. Tesalate towels are lightweight and are designed to stay sand-free and dry in half the time of a regular beach towel. Plus, Continue reading...

We get together the first Monday of every month to share recipes, and today we are all sharing our after-school-snack recipes! My kids are in college now (sniff!) but I'll pretend that they are home so I can whip up a tasty afternoon snack—I am always up for a good snack! Lovepops pop-up sunflower greeting card

Thanks to Lovepop cards for sponsoring this post. Both my twins recently went back to college—they are in their second year. I miss them so much! I like to send them special surprises throughout the year to let them know that I am thinking of them. I recently learned about Lovepop cards, really beautiful pop-up thank you cards and other 3D greeting cards designed for every occasion. Beautiful Pop-Up Greeting Cards I think both my kids will really enjoy receiving the Lovepops greeting cards that I've selected for them. Favorite Amazon Finds

written by Lauren

Thanks to Long Rich for sponsoring this post. I am a big Amazon shopper and am always finding new favorite products. In this post, I'd thought I'd share some of my new favorite finds! Among my new faves are a soft and comfy plush throw, a dog bed for my pup, a cross-body bag, a monocular telescope, bluetooth headphones, and a set of silicone baking pans. Large and Comfy Dog Bed My Shih Tzu Mochi is my loyal companion. He sits by my side as I work in my office for my day job. I felt sorry for him since he often would sleep on the floor by my feet, so I decided to get a big fluffy Continue reading...

Vacation at Waterfront Finger Lakes Cottage

written by Lauren

My family recently returned from a week-long stay on Keuka Lake in New York's Finger Lakes. Our waterfront cottage was located only a block or two south of Penn Yan, which was convenient for short trips into town for shopping or picking up groceries and takeout. Penn Yan is also a fairly short drive to towns like Hammondsport and Watkins Glen for day trips. We had a fun week of visiting local farms, shopping, and splashing and paddling in the lake. Beautiful Keuka Lake I love Keuka Lake. When I was a kid, my grandparents lived in Penn Yan a few blocks from the lake, and we used to stay a Continue reading...

Farmers Market Salad

written by Lauren

I love this farmers market salad recipe

I live in Central New Jersey, which means that I have lots of wonderful farmers markets near me. I can drive just a few minutes away from my town in almost any direction and reach beautiful farmland. I love it! So recently, when I needed to come up with my family's Sunday night dinner, I decided to visit Lee's Turkey Farm, one of the local farmers markets within a few miles from my house, and pick up ingredients for a delicious salad filled with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I also got some spring salad greens, avocado and fresh rotisserie chicken from my local supermarket. My Continue reading...
