Currently (April)
*I received a complimentary pair of eyeglasses from GlassesShop in exchange for my review. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own. My good blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, shares what's she up to every month in a "Currently" post. Carrie links her post up to a fun linky party run by Becky at Choose Happy. The linky party is a welcoming place for bloggers to share what has been going on in their lives. Last weekend was brutally cold here in New Jersey, and of course, that was the weekend I decided to surprise my husband with tickets to see a Red Continue reading...
New Jersey Day Trip: Sayen Gardens
My daughters were off from school two weeks ago on spring break, so I took the opportunity to enjoy local sights with them. One place I took them to was Sayen Gardens, located in Hamilton Square, NJ, just about 17 minutes from our home. The gardens are in Mercer County, NJ, not far from Princeton, NJ. Sayen Gardens is one of my favorite places to visit with my daughters! The park has free admission and has so many beautiful places to explore! There are ponds, walking trails, beautiful gardens, gazebos and woodlands. When we visited on my daughters' spring break, we even saw a heron Continue reading...
Motivation Monday (April 11)
Welcome to Motivation Monday! I am looking forward to see what you have to share this week! Please link up your project, recipes and projects in this post! I've had a busy week! I got it in my head that I wanted to convert my home's coat closet into a pantry, and just a day later, I had one! It's funny, because I've been in my home for 12 years and ALWAYS wanted a pantry! It's not until I stumbled onto a pin on Pinterest on how to use simple wood crates as shelves that I got my idea! You'll be amazed how easy it is to add storage to a closet -- without a drill and without drilling holes in Continue reading...

Coat Closet to Kitchen Pantry Reveal
*This post contains Amazon affilate links. Earlier on Mom Home Guide, I shared my goal of converting my home's coat closet, which is just off the kitchen, into a pantry. My kitchen doesn't have a pantry, and it really needed one! As soon as my blog post pubbed I got to work on making my dream of having a kitchen pantry a reality! Making a Coat Closet Pantry I am a night owl, so late one night, I started searching for easy ways to convert a coat closet into a pantry. I was hesitant to drill into the walls and put up shelving, because my coat closet shares a wall with my home's laundry Continue reading...
Pantry Organization Ideas
Last week, I joined my friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, in sharing my personal goals for April. One of those goals is to convert a rarely used cost closet off my home's kitchen to a pantry. My kitchen doesn't have a pantry and has limited storage space, so I have really been wanting extra space to store food items! I've been working hard this week to create a new pantry for my home. I am pleased with how it's coming along. You'll be interested to see how I've added pantry storage to my home's former coat closet -- my new pantry might be a bit unconventional, but Continue reading...
Easy Dark Chocolate Fondue
My daughters were off from school on spring break last week. We had a great time together and traveled to see local sights and did some hiking. But by Friday, we were tired out! So we planned a fun day at home and shared some fondue together! This recipe is part of this month's Taste Creations blog hop, where my blogging friends and I will be sharing recipes using dark chocolate! The Taste Creations Linkup happens on the 1st Monday of Every Month at 6 a.m. EST. Check out the links to my friend's dark chocolate recipes at the end of this post! Please follow your hosts Continue reading...

April Monthly Goals
Happy Saturday, everyone! I can't believe we are into April already! My blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, has a really fun monthly goals series that she launched this year. Every month she blogs about her goals for the month, and the next month, she revisits the previous month's goals to see how how much she accomplished! I like the idea of setting monthly goals for myself, so I decided to get in on the fun! I think regular goal setting is a good exercise for achieving goals! Here are my April Monthly Goals! 1 - Convert the coat closet in the family room into a pantry. Continue reading...
