Six Adorable Easter Ideas

written by Lauren

six easter ideas

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I am sharing six really great ideas for Easter! I co-host the Motivation Monday and the Craft Frenzy Friday linky parties, and there were so many fun Easter ideas shared! So I picked six of my favorite Easter egg and Easter decor ideas from those parties! I love coloring Easter eggs for my kids and decorating my home for the holiday! I haven't done any Easter decorating in my home this year so far, but last year I did create a cute Easter bunny wreath for my home.  I also have a really simple Easter flag that I sewed for my garden: For Continue reading...

After-School Frozen Banana Bites

written by Lauren

Banana bites are a quick, easy and fun to make after school treat

My tween daughters always make me smile -- especially when they come home with stellar report cards! To celebrate their hard work, I decided to do something extra sweet and fun for them. So, a few hours before they came home from school one day, I popped some sliced bananas into the freezer so the kids and I could prepare some fun and delicious frozen banana bites together when they got home from school! I sliced the pointed tips off my bananas so the banana pieces would be flat on both the top and the bottom. Just before my kids were due to walk through the door, I Continue reading...

DIY Holiday Village for Christmas

written by Lauren

A simple and inexpensive DIY holiday snow village for Christmas! I always wanted one of these!

WOW -- I can't believe that Christmas is nearly here! My kids and I have always wanted a holiday Christmas snow village, but all those holiday village pieces (the cute houses, etc.) are SO expensive! So, I decided that my daughters and I could make our own holiday village. My daughters and I started out by buying little unfinished wood houses at our local craft store. The houses were inexpensive. I bought spray paint for the houses that I thought would look like snow, but the spray paint just added a light glittery look to the houses. We topped out houses with cotton ball "snow" instead. My Sweet New Guitar from Sweetwater

written by Lauren

Review of Epiphone guitar purcahsed from Sweetwater.com

I received a Sweetwater gift card as part of my relationship with the Quality Blue Community. All opinions expressed are my own.   My daughters and I all play music but we don't yet play the guitar. But we are excited to learn. However, before we can do this we needed to buy a guitar. I recently purchased a new guitar from Sweetwater.com. I couldn't be more excited! (I play the piano, one daughter plays the flute, while the other plays the flute and the piano.) I am hoping to make at least some strides in learning our new instrument over the holidays! Shopping for my guitar on Continue reading...
