I tried out Stitch Fix, a fashion subscription service where clothing hand-picked for you is mailed to your door, in November 2015. I loved everything, and kept all five items in my box. (You get a 25% discount on your picks if you purchase all five items.) Making returns is easy -- just return them in the United States Postal Service postage-paid envelope provided by Stitch Fix. This coming spring and summer, there are two important events that I need clothing for. In June, my twin daughters are graduating from middle school. I'd love to have a nice outfit to wear to their graduation Continue reading...

A Sunny Sunday & April Fashion
A week ago Sunday, my husband had to work and my one of my two daughters had a group mathematics project to work on with her classmates. So my other daughter and I walked into town together. Even though we live only about five blocks away from our small town's downtown area, we hardly ever walk into town! It turned out to be a wonderful day. My teenage daughter, who is an amateur photographer, took several photos of me in front of an old vacant rug mill (which once housed a rug company) a few blocks from our house. (There are plans to convert the mill into shops and Continue reading...

Meal Plan Monday –Chicken Caesar Bake & BLT Salad
Welcome to Meal Plan Monday! Every Monday I share some of my favorite recipes from the Craft Frenzy Friday linky party that I co-host. These recipes from some of the best bloggers are great for weeknight meals. Easy Taco Salad I like serving salads as main dish meals during the week. They are usually simple to put together, and I like how we eat more vegetables on salad nights. My kids like tacos, so I think they'd like this recipe for Easy Taco Salad by Just Two Sisters -- the recipe combines seasoned beef with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, corn, beans and avocado. Chicken and Asparagas Continue reading...
