Late Sunday I returned home from attending the 2010 Haven DIY and design blogging conference in Charleston, S.C. It was a whirlwind of a trip! I finally got to meet my blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, in person, learned great blogging tips, tried out and saw some wonderful crafting and DIY products and made many new friends. I arrived in Charleston, S.C., on Thursday afternoon, a day before the conference started on Friday. I was invited to lunch with a bunch of sweet and wonderful bloggers at the Saffire Restaurant in the Charleston Marriott, hotel. That's the hotel where the Continue reading...

Celebrating the Year of the Dog
This post was sponsored by Oriental Trading, which provided me with the decor and party supplies for this post. The Chinese New Year is approaching -- the date of the New Year this year is February 16. The Chinese New Year celebrates the start of the lunar new year, is based on a lunar calendar, and is a different date each year. In the Chinese calendar, each new year is assigned one of 12 zodiac characters. This year, 2018, is the year of the dog! There is a console table in my home's family room that I like to decorate for the holidays. One of the holidays that I like to decorate for Continue reading...
Wood Slice Valentine’s Day Tokens
This post contains Amazon affiliate links. TGIF, everyone! I am so happy that the weekend is nearly here! This week has been quite a busy one, so I thought I'd share a mini project I completed this week! Earlier this week I shared my tutorial for my Scrappy Valentine's Day Wreath. The wreath was really quite thrifty since I repurposed leftover craft materials from Christmas. It doesn't always work out when I create a craft project out of supplies I already have on hand, so I'm excited about how my wreath turned out! I even used a bow from a gift basket my family received on this Continue reading...

To help your family get into the holiday spirit, I am participating in the Christmas Trees on Parade blog hop, hosted by Terri of Christmas Tree Lane. At the bottom of this post, you'll get to see how my blogging friends have decorated their Christmas trees this year. The collection of Christmas tree photos at the end of this post is a great source of inspiration for how to decorate a Christmas tree! Each of us Continue reading...
Fun Fall Decorating Ideas
Thanks to Oriental Trading for providing me with the Thanksgiving pumpkins shared in this post. I was provided free decor items in exchange for my honest review. Earlier this week, I've shared some of the ways I've decorated my home for fall this year and previous years. I do a lot of decorating, so I still have a lot of fall decor ideas to share! I thought I'd share more of the ways I've decorated my home for fall this year and other years. One of the first and easiest wreaths I've made is my fall grapevine wreath. I simply wrapped a chevron ribbon around a grapevine wreath to create Continue reading...
Fall Decorating Ideas
Happy Monday, everyone! I love fall decorating. So far this season, I've decorated my living room console table for fall, and have made a DIY fall welcome sign for my home's front porch. I'd love to do some more fall decorating. But before I do, I thought it would be fun to share some of the ways I've decorated my home for fall this year and previous years. My DIY fall welcome sign is my most recent fall decorating project. I made the sign with some wood, chalk paint and crafting supplies I already had on hand. In all, this decor project only took me about an hour! Last year I Continue reading...

Fall Bucket List Jars – Yogurt Jar Crafts
Today I am joining some of my blogging friends in sharing fall crafts made with glass yogurt jars! For my craft, I used two glass yogurt jars to create two fall bucket list jars. I hope to use the jars to track fun fall activities that my husband, kids and I want to do together this autumn. The jars are filled with pretty wooden pumpkin-shaped tokens on which we can write the fun things we want to do this fall. (Like bake a homemade apple pie!) Fall Bucket List Jar Supplies My daughters and I recently picked out some yogurts -- we have all been aiming to have a healthier diet this fall. Continue reading...
