Holiday Cleaning Tips & $50 Giveaway
“This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Mr. Clean. I was provided the featured product and compensations to facilitate this post, but all opinions are 100% mine." I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough time to get everything done during the holidays! For me, the worst part about getting ready for the holidays is getting the house clean for company! I'd love to have a clean house, but for some reason or other, I can't seem to keep my house in a constant state of clean! So that usually means that I wipe myself out cleaning right before a holiday event, only to Continue reading...
Holiday Stars Gallery Wall
Hi, everyone! Today I am sharing a recent project I completed for the holidays at Ask Anna! I share decorating ideas at Ask Anna every first Thursday of the month. Today I am sharing a pretty holiday stars gallery wall that I made for my home's living room! The yarn stars were simple and fun to make, but they have a big impact! What I like about the stars are that they fit right in with my living room's bright and sunny decor. Plus, the stars don't too overtly say "Christmas," so I could leave them up if wanted to, even after the holidays are over! Hop on over to Ask Anna to see more Continue reading...
#OurLand: Work To Protect Open Spaces
My kids' lives, like so many children's lives these days, are very scheduled. They have after-school clubs and activities, plus their music lessons in nearby Princeton. So, when my kids have the chance to run around and play, they love it! My kids and I adore taking trips together to the many local parks in our area. That's why I am joining the Trust for Public Land's movement to create and protect parks right in our own backyards. This is the TPL's mission: "The Trust for Public Land creates parks and protects land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. Continue reading...

Upcycled Glass Jar & Pom Pom Flowers
My kids and I are big believers in recycling, so we are eager to celebrate National Recycling Week! I am always holding onto used spaghetti sauce jars for crafts, and have lots of yarn on hand. So, my daughters and I decided to create a yarn craft using one of our recycled glass jars and some yarn we had on hand. We also created some yarn and chopstick pom pom flowers for our upcycled glass jar project -- house plants don't seem to do well in our house! We get Chinese take-out fairly often, so we often have some chopsticks around. Our project was inspired by a Continue reading...
Pom Pom Holiday Wreath
What do you do when you want to decorate for Christmas, but it's not Thanksgiving yet? You craft a "transitional" holiday wreath that would work just fine as a Christmas wreath but can serve as home decor for just about any other time of year, as well. That was my thinking when I created my Holiday Pom Pom Wreath. Today is the first Thursday of the month, so that means I am sharing one of my home decor tutorials at Ask Anna! Stop by Ask Anna for my full tutorial on how to make this fun and fluffy wreath! The tutorial also includes detailed instructions on how to make pom poms. I shared Continue reading...

The party is still going strong, so feel free to stop by and add your project or recipe to the party! I totally adore the neutral fall wreath from Live Laugh Rowe. I met Kelly at the Haven Conference last July, and she's just great! Continue reading...
Fall Paper Leaf Wreath
Happy October! To celebrate fall, I decided to make an easy and fun paper leaf wreath for my home. What's great is that I made the fall paper leaf wreath at no cost with materials I already had at home. I love how the happy fall colors brighten up my house! The project was simple -- I just cut out a circular wreath out of cardboard and glued on some paper leaves that I cut out from paper that I already had. I didn't even need a glue gun -- I used regular white school glue. I also used some white twine to wrap around my wreath (for a decorative touch) and to hang my wreath. Easy! Paper Continue reading...
