Celebrating Graduation in a Big Way – Mega Yard Display

written by Lauren

graduation lawn display

Thanks to Card My Yard Millstone for partnering with Mom Home Guide for this post. Yesterday my twins graduated from high school! I can't believe how quickly time has flown! Surprisingly, I didn't cry at their graduation ceremony yesterday. But I admit that I did cry the night before! I happened to drive by my kids' high school Tuesday evening and got weepy. I realized that I will no longer be driving my twins to school! Even though I thought I didn't like driving them to school at about 7 am whenever they missed the school bus, I did enjoy those times together in the car. I've Continue reading...

DIY flower terra cotta pot wind chimes with beads and bells

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. I am happy that spring has finally arrived here in New Jersey! I am loving all the daffodils that are blooming in my front yard. I adore the warmer temperatures. I was feeling crafty recently, so I did a quick and easy craft for my backyard - wind chimes! I used an old terra cotta pot that I spray painted, cut out some vinyl designs with my Silhouette machine, and strung some beads and mini bells together. I got the beads and cute mini bells from Amazon. Terra Cotta pot wind chimes are a fun and easy craft. Terra Cotta Pot Wind Continue reading...

Best Teas and Teatime Accessories – Friday Finds

written by Lauren

tea time engraved spoon placed across a mint green tea cup

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. I admit it - I love tea. (It might actually be true that I drink more tea than plain water. Which I admit, is bad.) I love iced tea (Snapple Lemon Tea being my favorite), chai tea, bubble tea, some green teas, and Twinings English Breakfast Tea. So, not surprisingly, tea accoutrements and accessories are some of my favorite things. One of my newest additions to my tea items is a cute set of engraved tea spoons given to me by my friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, for my birthday. (Thanks, Carrie!) Using these cute spoons when I'm drinking cold or Continue reading...

I am sharing this post as part of the Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop. Today my blogging friends and I all will be sharing our own homemade Continue reading...

Sweet Valentine’s Day Rose and Hydrangea Bouquet (Friday Finds)

written by Lauren

Sweet glass vase filled with faux roses and hydrangea with a farmhouse home sign

Thanks to Nearly Natural for providing me with the bouquet described in this review. Welcome to Friday Finds! I love fresh flowers. If I could, I would have a vase full of them daily in my home. Always having fresh flowers would make me happy, but not perhaps my wallet. Luckily for me, I recently received a lovely bouquet of faux rose and hydrangea from Nearly Natural, just in time for Valentine's Day. They look so good that I had to inform my daughters that they aren't real! I am sharing my new artificial flower arrangement as part of my regular Friday Finds column. In this column I Continue reading...

Hang a Canvas Easily Without Nails (Friday Finds)

written by Lauren

wedding portrait of Lauren Kim and her husband

This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. This Christmas, one of my teen daughters surprised my husband and me with a portrait of us that she painted. I was amazed by her painting. Her painted canvas is a beautiful depiction of my husband and me on our wedding day. I love it! I immediately wanted to put the canvas up on a wall. I wanted to hang the canvas without nails. (In my experience, there never is a stud in the spot you want to put a picture. Plus, I'd rather not have to get out a hammer.) My husband and I don't have any large framed photos from our wedding day. We couldn't Continue reading...

Read this Silhouette Cameo review to find out how this machine can up your crafting skills! What is a Silhouette Cameo?
