For this blog hop, we all repurposed, remade or reused a glass, plastic or metal item. One goal with our crafts is to do what we can to make the world a better place! In the winter, I like to do what I can to feed the birds. I decided to create a quick and simple bird feeder using an old plastic jar, chopsticks and twine. My daughters and I love to watch the birds eat from our bird feeders from our living room bay window. , Meet the co-hosts My Husband Has Too Many Continue reading...

Decorating a Living Room Bay Window
I received the pillows described in this post for free in exchange for my honest review. A few years ago my husband and I had a bay window installed in our living room. For a while, I was unsure as to how to dress up the window. I have been meaning to make a custom window seat cushion for the space, but haven't gotten around to it yet! In the meantime, I've found a much easier (and quicker) way to dress up a bay window. At first, I only had a simple cushion that I had sewed on the window seat. At the time, the cushion matched the color scheme of the curtains that I had in the Continue reading...

Planning a Kitchen Remodel
If you've been following this blog, you probably know that I've taken steps to update the look of my home's kitchen. I've repainted most of the oak cabinets white. (I just have a few more to paint.) I've purchased some new cabinet hardware to install. I've made small changes like organizing drawers and installing inexpensive tile under the kitchen sink. I'd love to change out the flooring and the counter, too. A good blogging friend of mine is doing a complete kitchen remodel -- I have to admit I'm a bit jealous! If you are considering a DIY kitchen remodel or if you are thinking of having Continue reading...
