Once a month, my blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, and I share what we each have been "Currently" been up to in our lives. Today's Currently post is a way to share details about our lives beyond our usual DIY, recipe, fashion and craft posts. What I've Been Up To I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by! I wish it would slow down a little ... my twin daughters are graduating from middle school this year, and I'm not ready for them to start high school yet! Yard in Bloom Outside my home, everything is in bloom. I planted some peas a few weeks ago and they Continue reading...

*This post contains Amazon affiliate links. If you click an Amazon link and make a purchase, I earn a small commission that helps to fund this blog. Thanks! Every month, I set three monthly goals for myself. These goals are smaller things I hope to achieve or accomplish in the next few weeks. I’ve found that goal setting, or establishing small goals each month helps me to get things done! My friend Carrie at Curly Craft Mom got me started on this helpful habit of goal setting! The recap of my September goals are at the bottom of this post. These are my October Continue reading...
September Goals
Every month, I set three monthly goals for myself. These goals are smaller things I hope to achieve or accomplish in the next few weeks. I’ve found that setting small goals each month helps me to get things done! My friend, Carrie at Curly Craft Mom, got me started on this helpful habit! The recap of my August goals are at the bottom of this post. 1 - Take Better Photos – I bought myself a beautiful Nikon DSLR camera about a year ago. The camera has helped me to take better photos for the blog. I have to admit, though, I am still taking photos in the automatic mode. (In my Continue reading...
Currently (August) — Trip to Mystic Seaport and Cape Cod
For the past few months, I've been writing a "Currently" post and linking up with my friend Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom's "Currently" post. In our Currently posts, we share fun tidbits about what's going on in our lives! For me, I can't believe that it's August already! My kids have already enjoyed two weeks of day camp together, and my husband, kids and I took a week-long vacation in Mystic, Conn., and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. My kids, husband and I LOVED Mystic! New Jersey Day Trip: Sayen Gardens
My daughters were off from school two weeks ago on spring break, so I took the opportunity to enjoy local sights with them. One place I took them to was Sayen Gardens, located in Hamilton Square, NJ, just about 17 minutes from our home. The gardens are in Mercer County, NJ, not far from Princeton, NJ. Sayen Gardens is one of my favorite places to visit with my daughters! The park has free admission and has so many beautiful places to explore! There are ponds, walking trails, beautiful gardens, gazebos and woodlands. When we visited on my daughters' spring break, we even saw a heron Continue reading...

Trip to Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in the Poconos (Plus Giveaway!)
This review was made possible by iConnect and Kalahari. I was provided with an overnight stay and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine. #LoveKalahariPA My kids had a one-day break off from school this week, so my daughters, husband and I took advantage of the midweek break and took a mini vacation at the new Kalahari Resorts & Conventions Center in Pennsylvania's Poconos Mountains! Kalahari is only about a two-hour drive from my home, making it the perfect destination for a family road trip! My kids couldn't wait to try out the resort's Continue reading...
