written by Lauren Leave a Comment

beautiful, new bathroom

Choose the Right Vanity Size for Your Bathroom It all starts with a tape measure and the vanity you need and want, rather than what you just want to look cool in. Picking the right width for a vanity to fit your layout is absolutely critical. The most popular vanity is the 900mm (2.95 feet) single vanity, and for a very good reason, because this size will fit within most main bathrooms without creating a cramped feeling in the space. free printable chore chart for kids

A few years ago, I created free printable chore charts to help parents share household responsibilities with their kids, and it quickly became a reader favorite. Since then, I’ve designed a new and improved chore chart that does much more than track chores. This updated version helps teach children responsibility, encourages them to contribute to the family, and motivates them to work toward goals. It also includes an optional points system, allowing kids to earn points that can be redeemed for privileges, rewards or even an allowance. Download your free chore chart for kids here! Sayen Gardens—A Peaceful Escape in Central NJ

written by Lauren Leave a Comment

the beautiful koi pond and arched bridge at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ

Today, my husband and I visited Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ, with our Shih Tzu pup—this park is dog friendly! I always love going to the gardens, located about 15 minutes by car from my house. They are a serene retreat that really feels like a different world. Its beauty changes throughout the seasons—in spring, there are 1,000 or so azaleas in bloom, as well as other springtime favorites like tulips, while in summer, its forested areas are a quiet and lush green, highlighted with daisies and other blooms. Amazingly, admission to this attraction is free! Now maintained by Hamilton Continue reading...

Common Home Maintenance Tasks Homeowners Often Overlook

written by Lauren Leave a Comment

beautiful home, green lawn, trees

There is an interesting pattern found in many homes. The issues that create the biggest headaches are often not the ones that arrive suddenly. Instead, they begin as easy-to-ignore details that blend into everyday life. A dripping fixture becomes familiar. A damp patch seems harmless. A sprinkler head sprays slightly off target, and nobody gives it a second thought. In Golden Gate, Florida, where homes are exposed to changing weather conditions throughout the year, small maintenance tasks can have a bigger impact than many homeowners realize. A fix-it-later mindset is understandable when Continue reading...
