** This post contains affiliate links. I am so happy that March is here! Now that March has begun, spring is only a few days away! On the first Thursday of every month, I share a decorating tip at Ask Anna, and today I am sharing my easy but pretty rainbow spring wreath! The spring wreath was super easy (and fun!) to make, and I was able to craft it while watching my favorite programs on TV. All I needed for the project was some felt, some pinking shearsand a wire wreath form. For more photos, and for the complete how-to, be sure to visit my rainbow spring wreath tutorial at Ask Continue reading...

One of the best things about being a blogger is following the work of other bloggers! I am always impressed by the ingenuity and creativity of my blogging friends! These are some of the recent projects that I like the most from some of my favorite bloggers ! #Followfriday (#FF) is a great time to discover new blogs. Check them out! My daughters really enjoy mozzarella sticks, so in the past, I've purchased frozen ones at the grocery store. I love that with this low-carb mozzarella stick recipe from Wife Mom Geek, I can make my own with regular string cheese! I can even tailor the recipe Continue reading...
Friday Favorites #FF
**This post contains affiliate links. If you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, I earn a small commission to help keep this blog running. Thanks! The outdoor temperature reading on my car read 1 degree this morning-- that is way too cold for me! The frigid temperatures here in New Jersey mean that I haven't been venturing much from my house. I am a person who hates the cold! But staying inside more has given me more time to catch up with some of my favorite blogs! I adore this DIY color block painted door by DIY Showoff. I know my husband wouldn't want anything but white doors Continue reading...
Easy DIY Pillows 4 Ways
*This post contains affiliate links. When it comes to decorating my home, one thing I love to do is change the look of the throw pillows on my living room sofa. Making and decorating my own pillows is so simple and inexpensive, but it does so much to change up a room! The great thing is that I found a way to create fun custom throw pillows for the sofa without having to do much sewing! One of the simplest ways I've found to give my sofa's throw pillows a new look is by wrapping the pillows in ribbon and securing the ribbon in the back with a little bit of Velcro. With this method, you can Continue reading...
How to Organize Toys for Kids
Today I'm off enjoying the weekend with my family, so I thought I'd share one of Mom Home Guide's oldies but goodies! A big problem most moms face is how to organize toys for my kids. It seems that these days, kids have way more toys than kids did when I was young. Or, maybe, my parents did a better job of organizing my and my sister’s toys when we were kids than I do organizing my kids’ toys. I just find it hard to organize toys! My daughters’ room doesn’t get cleaned as often as it should because it takes me over an hour just to clear all their toys off the floor and their beds before I Continue reading...
My Top Picks (Wednesday Linky Party Features)
Happy Monday! How is everything in your neck of the woods? Where I live, everyone is getting ready for lots and lots of SNOW!! We are talking a BLIZZARD here! So, before the storm arrives, I thought I'd take the time to share my favorites from the A Little Bit of Everything linky party, which I co-launched with some of my blogging friends last Wednesday. First up, I love the rainbow-striped wall that Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom painted for her daughter's room. She used a laser level to get the even stripes. BTW, did you know that a laser level actually sticks to the wall? I didn't know that! Continue reading...
Scary Toaster Oven Fire and How I Put Out the Flames
My kids and I were having a normal Tuesday night yesterday when I decided to heat up a taco shell and have a second taco for dinner. I put the taco shell into my convection toaster oven, set the timer, and stepped away to my computer (just feet away) to reply to an email. Before I knew it, I smelled burning, and there was a fire raging in my toaster oven! That convection toaster oven has been burning things since the first day we owned it, but I never suspected that it could be such a fire hazard! I should have known not to turn my back on that toaster oven! It's been nothing Continue reading...

Time to Start Thinking About Taxes!
As 2014 draws near to its end, I have been doing what I can to make sure that all my financial records are in order. Part of that means making sure all my documents I will need for preparing my family’s taxes next April are all in one place! (Right now, that means all my receipts are thrown into a storage box in the basement -- LOL.) If you do your own taxes or take care of your famly’s taxes, you might be worried about how The Affordable Care Act (ACA) / Obamacare will affect your taxes. Because The Affordable Care Act is designed to make sure that everyone has health insurance, 2014 is Continue reading...
