Back to School Computer Command Center

written by Lauren

new family computer command center with HP All-in-One 20-c013w

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BTSwithHP #CollectiveBias Just recently, my family owned just one computer -- a laptop. The laptop was fine for a while, but now that my daughters are in the eighth grade and will soon be high school, one computer isn't enough for our family. I need a computer for my work, my husband needs access to a computer, and my daughters need a computer for their school work. So for this school year, I put together a family computer command center. I am so happy with how our new computer Continue reading...

Everyday Celebrations with Kids

written by Lauren

Stouffers frozen lasagne and chipwiches made with Toll House cookies and Edy's ice cream is a fun way I celebrate my kids' everyday achievements during the school year

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BackToSchoolReady #CollectiveBias My daughters will soon be back in middle school. In September, we will be thrust into after-school activities, cross-country practices, music lessons and homework. I'll need to simplify our weeknights! I'll also look for ways to celebrate my daughters' accomplishments. Like when they set a personal record in cross country or bring home a great grade. One celebratory dinner I plan to make includes STOUFFER'S® Meat Continue reading...

Fun back to school breakfast bar

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. All opinions are entirely my own. This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #ReimagineYourRoutine #CollectiveBias I love making breakfast for my daughters on school mornings -- even if that means getting up at 6 a.m.! On the first day of school, it’s especially important that I make a yummy breakfast for my kids. Putting extra effort into my kids’  breakfasts is a way I show them how much I care. For this school year, I’ve already come up with the first Continue reading...

Easy Summer Picnic Dinner (My Guest Post at Curly Crafty Mom)

written by Lauren

Great ideas on what to serve during a summer picnic meal

Summer is all about traveling to new places and spending time with friends. So today, I am hopping over to Curly Crafty Mom, which is my blogging friend, Carrie's blog! Today I am sharing all about a simple kind of meal that I like to prepare for my family in the summer. Picnic Dinners! Picnic dinners or meals require very little fuss, no cooking, and are a lot of fun.  Picnic dinners are the most enjoyable outside, but you could even spread a blanket indoors and watch a movie on the DVR during your picnic. Check out my post on Carrie's blog (Curly Crafty Mom) for a list of Continue reading...

Easy and Fun Family Pizza Night

written by Lauren

easy and fun family pizza night -- I got a really inexpensive family combo pack from Sam's Club for a great meal

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. All opinions are mine alone. #FamilyPizzaCombo #CollectiveBias Now that spring is here and it is so beautiful outside, my family and I have been enjoying dinners out on the patio! Sometimes, though, it can be a lot of work to prepare a weeknight dinner out on the patio! I have to cart all our plates, cups, napkins, etc., from the kitchen, as well as all the food! Plus, with our busy weeknight schedules, I sometimes don't have a lot of time to cook during the week. I make weekly shopping trips to Continue reading...

New Jersey Day Trip: Sayen Gardens

written by Lauren

Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ

My daughters were off from school two weeks ago on spring break, so I took the opportunity to enjoy local sights with them. One place I took them to was Sayen Gardens, located in Hamilton Square, NJ, just about 17 minutes from our home. The gardens are in Mercer County, NJ, not far from Princeton, NJ. Sayen Gardens is one of my favorite places to visit with my daughters! The park has free admission and has so many beautiful places to explore! There are ponds, walking trails, beautiful gardens, gazebos  and woodlands. When we visited on my daughters' spring break, we even saw a heron Continue reading...
