This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Today I am joining my blogging friends to share upcycled crafts! I enjoy suncatcher crafts, so I made a quick and easy suncatcher using a mason jar ring, small iridescent plastic beads, clear Duck tape and some string. I found all these items in my home. This is a fun craft to complete with kids. Be sure to check all my blogging friends' projects, too! This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Welcome to the May edition to the Taste Creations blog hop! On the first Monday of each month, my blogging friends and I get together to share a recipe along a certain theme. This month's theme is strawberries! I decided to make easy but super delicious mason jar strawberry cheesecakes. My daughter told me the other day that she was craving strawberry cheesecake. So I decided that's what my recipe would be! I have a bunch of cute mason jars, so I thought it would be fun to make individual servings of strawberry cheesecake in mason jars. I came Continue reading...

Last week, my daughter had her last flute lesson of the year. My daughter has been taking flute lessons for five years. With her teacher's guidance, my daughter has grown from an elementary school student who wasn't sure she liked playing the flute to an accomplished musician. This year she even won a spot to play for a day with a regional student orchestra. I'm so proud of her! For a Christmas gift, I had gifted her Continue reading...

Mason Jar Succulents
A few weekends ago, my family and I were invited to a wonderful backyard barbecue with good friends. Three of my great "mom" friends were there, so I decided to make them all personalized gifts. I made a potted succulent plant for each friend -- I planted the succulents in pretty green mason jars. I think this gift is wonderful for anyone who adores plants. Potted succulents also make for lovely teacher appreciation or end of the year gifts! This gift might even please some dads for Father's Day! I found some great succulents at my local Wal-Mart store. Succulents are hardy plants that have Continue reading...
Fall Mason Jar Candles
I have been loving all the fun mason jar crafts and fall mantles I've been seeing on Pinterest, and have been wanting to make some of my own! So when my daughters and I collected a whole bunch of nuts from underneath a local tree, I knew I had a project on my hands! (I think the nuts are hazel nuts, but I am not sure!) My Fall Mantle I had just started my fall mantle, so I thought some autumn mason jar candles would be a good addition! I first got started with my fall mantle by adding fall-themed stickers to an inexpensive stretched burlap canvas that I had purchased at my Continue reading...

Mason Jar Crafts
Mason jars are everywhere these days, and I love it! Mason jars are relatively inexpensive and are easy to find -- you can purchase mason jars online at Amazon.com, and they are even at my local Walmart. I've seen several mason jar crafts online that I would love to make for my home! Terrific Mason Jar Crafts I love when mason jars are paired with striped paper straws and are used at a picnic or for an outside gathering with family or friends. I just adore the mason jar picnic that is pictured at Your Home Based Mom! For the picnic she used mason jars for glasses, to hold tea Continue reading...

It's also a great dinner option, because everyone gets to custom tailor their salad to suit what they like best! Easy Salad Bar Prep My girls are in middle school and start their school day before 8 a.m. They Continue reading...
